Amber Riley Is Leaving 'Glee': Say It Ain't So, Mercedes Jones!

Oh no Glee fans! McKinley High School and is about to lose one of its spunkiest members, Mercedes Jones.  The character, portrayed by the wonderful Amber Riley, holds a special place in our hearts, being the soulful power house of New Directions!  Although Rachel, Kurt, Finn, and Santana are returning next year, Riley confirmed via Twitter last night, May 9th, that Mercedes' role has now wrapped within the series, stating:

There's also been talk of Quinn, Dianna Agron's character leaving too, however no statement has been confirmed.  I think it's sad to see Mercedes leave but we all know what Amber Riley is capable of. Hopefully, she'll focus her free time on an upcoming album!  Remember, even Adele sang (no pun intended) Riley's praises and wished that Amber had a personal record to listen to!

Oh Mercedes, we're going to miss your divalicious self...WE will always love you!
