Two and a Half Men star Ashton Kutcher may have always been out of sight, but now he's about to be out of this world! That's right, it has been confirmed via Sir Richard Branson's blog that the 34-year-old actor, known famously for his role as "Kelso" in That 70's Show, is set to embark on a space journey with Virgin Galactic!
Branson, the CEO of Virgin Atlantic, started Virgin Galactic back in 2005 and it was the first commercial airline to offer trips into outerspace! Flights cost $200,000 and Ashton is Virgin Galactic's 500th customer. WOO! I wonder if he gets extra space ice cream for being number 500? I also hope the inflight movie isn't something crappy like My Boss's Daughter.
Ashton's flight is to be determined, but according to Branson's blog, the actor is thrilled at the prospect. Branson wrote, "I gave Ashton a quick call to congratulate and welcome him. He is as thrilled as we are at the prospect of being among the first to cross the final frontier (and back!) with us and to experience the magic of space for himself."
What do you think of Ashton's upcoming trip? If you had $200,000 to shell out would you be going on Virgin Galactic?
