Guillermo Del Toro To Direct, Emma Watson To Star In New 'Beauty And The Beast'

It has been 20 years since the Walt Disney animated classic Beauty and the Beast first graced our presence in November of 1991.  The film, revolving around a Prince-turned-Beast and the young woman he has imprisoned in his castle, is set to follow in the recent footsteps of another classic: Snow White, which has been adapted into two different films this year; the adventure packed Snow White and the Huntsman featuring Charlize Theron, Kristen Stewart and Chris Hemsworth, as well as the tale reversal Mirror Mirror starring Julia Roberts, Lily Collins and Nathan Lane.

The new film adaptation of Beauty and the Beast, set to unfold for Warner Bothers, already has a high profile and somewhat shocking director, as it is reported that Oscar nominated, Pan's Labrinth, director Guillermo del Toro is on board for the ride!  Along with del Toro comes news of Harry Potter's own Emma Watson cast as Belle!
